Supplementary Educational Centers

Additional coaching classes are provided to the newly enrolled children through supplementary education programme which has been organized in the centers to prevent school dropout and develop support with those children’s communities in the target area.

Non Formal Education

The target areas of JEEVAN Trust is peculiar and the situation cry out for our intervention, the rice milling units of red hills and slums, pavements of north Chennai has a good number potential children who are under child labour or are prone to child labour. These Children who are never been to schools or discontinued from schools organized in Non Formal Education Centers which enhances them acquire basic education and culminates in school enrollment.

Training Programme for Formal and Non Formal Children

Children in rice mills and slums do not have any form of recreation. To facilitate this we have formed 20 Child Rights Clubs, it gives them an opportunity to exchange ideas, knowledge and experiences. Children are exposed to new games and also develop leadership skills and acquire like skill education.    Monthly twice regular training

EDUCATIONAL MATERIALS DISTRIBUTION DAY

Additional coaching classes are provided to the newly enrolled children through supplementary education programme which has been organized in the centers to prevent school dropout and develop rapport with those children’s communities in the target area. The center functions from 5.00.P.M to 7.00.P.M in the evening and is managed by the Organization Staff or Area volunteers. The centre helps the newly enrolled students to understand and to learn the subjects without any fear while the other children are made to complete the home work and get their doubts clarified on the day lesson.
